So true! All of us have such big egos, difference of opinion and differences with others. But if we work together unitedly for a higher cause, all these obstacles will be relegated to the background. We can see live examples of this when we work together for festivals like Janmashtami, book distribution, book launches and other programs. Wish we could inculcate this spirit of unity throughout our lives.
hare krishna. Unity between devotees please Krishna. Thank u maharaja.
Powerful nugget of wisdom…….! Thank you Maharaj
That’s true we have to have one supreme goal for unity.
Radhanath Swami explains in one lecture that how krishna loves and feels unlimited bliss to see everyone cooperating for common purpose
Thanks Kevin for sharing this point from HH Radhanath Swami lecture.
wonderful quote. Truely, it is rightly said United we stand, divided we fall. this is applicable even in spiritual circles
Very profound statement.
Indeed.
Thank you for enlightening us on such an essential topic.
Thank you Maharaj
Very profound statement. In today’s world this is totally missing. Also since the material needs of all may be different, there is no way to have a common “material cause” – like we will feed all the hungry etc. It has to be common “spiritual cause”. This is since we all are originally spirit souls and hence the spiritual cause is the same. Our moods may be different, but the cause has to be same and that is to serve our eternal father – God. if this is kept as the common cause i am sure we will see a lot of unity and peace in the world.
Very good point Anand. Once this higher purpose of serving God is the focus for everyone, the minor (or even major) conflicts do not matter much and everyone works united for the pleasure of our eternal father. Thanks.
Ancient Indian culture has seen many such evidences of successful unity among people with common purpose. Joint families is one of the finest examples of this. Wonderful insight by Radhanath Swami.
Yea… There are so many such examples like Pandavas, Lord Rama and his brothers and many others. And the joint families are still surviving in some places in India and have so many advantages over atomic families.
thank you maharaj for this instruction.. once you said in one class that father is happy when he sees unity between his sons and similarly Lord is pleased when He sees unity amongest His servants. Hare Krishna.
Thanks Satish for sharing this wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami.
This is very difficult in Kali yuga as no two individuals seem to have a single common purpose. Only intervention of devotees like Radhanath Swami can bring in that common purpose of serving and pleasing God and thus Unity will be re-established.
Very well said.
That common purpose is to show love and compassion to each other and everyone else by connecting to the original power-house of love and compassion.
Its a very profound statement by Radhanath Swami. It is said there can be unity in diversity, but even in this diversity there should be a common purpose/goal for achieving unity
Hmmm.. a very deep point extending this wisdom further. Thank you.
Excellent quote by HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj!
Wonderful quote from HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj.
Indeed wonderful.
Very beautiful analogy, if our goal is not common then every one have their own interest.
Very true.
A practical wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami. A common purpose is certainly the basic need for the team to be united. When all the devotees have the common goal of pleasing Krishna then they naturally stand united.
Through your nice comment, i remember the pastime of Krishna & Sudama, their one hand holding each other (intimate relationship) and other hand holding woods (service to guru).
Thanks Satish for your relevant comment reminding this inspiring pastime showing a wonderful example of unity.
Very true! When we are working together for a common cause, then we are united in spite of our differences. So if we keep service to Krsna or the aim of pleasing him as the common factor, then we can work together keeping our egos and differences aside.
Yes fully agree.
yes it is true
A useful conclusion. Thank you.
