    1. When I was small, my father brought a mango seed and planted it in our backyard garden. At that time, childish as I was, I couldn’t really appreciate what he was doing.

      After many years when the seed grew into a tree and bore ripe mangoes I thanked my father.

      Similarly, in our childish mentality we don’t appreciate the seed of bhakti we have been given. Unless we associate with sincere devotees, we may through the seed or the sapling away, mistaking it to be ordinary.

  17. HH Radhanath Swami seems to be revealing this open secret here that association of sincere devotees can awaken the bhakti in heart of anyone no matter how long this bhakti was in dormant state. And this wisdom is also very practical and appropriate in the modern context as well. We naturally are influenced by the type of association we keep. I remember hearing somewhere about a deeply lost hunter who used to brutally kill the animals for his enjoyment and living. But a very short association of Saint Narad transformed him positively in a very amazing way. Not able to recall the name of the hunter at the moment, can someone please help me in that?
