Wow…….! Thank you Maharaj for awesome formula for enrichment….! This quote comes to me handy as I am struggling to develop genuine “Compassion”…….!
This is your humility and honesty. Actually we all struggle to develop these divine qualities. Let’s continue to hear from HH Radhanath Swami and something should happen :).
Really true. Such a profound quote from Radhanath Swami Maharaj.
Compassion is one of the most important qualities that we should possess to grow spiritually. It is because Srila Prabhupad, Radhanath Swami and other devotees have shown their compassion for fallen souls like us, that we have received an opportunity to perfect our lives. In gratitude, we should show at least a drop of compassion to others by connecting them to Lord Krishna.
This is so relevant, we all should try to be instruments of compassion that we received from these great souls.
Great! Could you please provide some ways by which we can be the instruments?
Hmmm… I feel the most interesting way of passing the compassion is by distributing Krishna Prasadam to every one as much as possible.
Very nice! Prasadam is non-different from Krishna Himself. Srila Prabhupad has started a wonderful movement and instructed his followers to do Prasadam distribution so that no one within 3 miles of the temple goes without honoring Prasadam.
Yes, this movement started by Srila Prabhupada is really so wonderful. Even I first time entered an ISKCON temple hearing that they serve free food there on Sunday evening. I was in Sydney on a small trip that time and visited there with one acquaintance.
Great points here!!!
Wonderful message in this quote from Radhanath Swami Maharaj. He always gives emphasis on how to be compassionate toward every living entity or help those who show this compassion. Compassion is such a power thing that can deliver the whole world of all types of malice and vices.
So well said Sumit.
The word ‘sacrifice’ gives a feel that you are going to lose something. But actually, as the quote indicates, we gain.
Thanks for clarifying it Gopinath Chandra Pr.
Nice point Gopinath Chandra Prabhu. Radhanath Swami else where mentions, “In giving we receive and not in receiving we actually gain”. Sacrifice and compassion are the Universal principles and without sacrifice there is no life.
Through sacrifice one develops a sense of love, and to love and to be loved are the essential nature of the soul.
Our body is the property of the Lord. A devotee’s only blessing that he desires is simply for the opportunity for service. The opportunity to make sacrifice in Lord’s service and in the service of His devotees. Service to His devotee is the most pleasing form, the most wonderful offering we could make to the Lord.
