  7. This is a very useful wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami to help us understand the real meaning and purpose of any Austerities (Tapasya). We often see people engaged in so many various fasting etc. but they either don’t have any purpose or their purpose are to gain some material gains. Thanks for publishing this inspiring wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami.

    2. yes, very true. Human life is meant for performing tapasya, but the purpose of that tapasya is purifying our consciousness. Rishabdev says ”Tapo divyam”, for divine or higher purpose. People often perform austerities but the purpose is material, there is no purification of consciousness. H.H Radhanath swami used this very important word ‘higher’ purpose which is the essence of tapasya.
