Great point! Lord Chaitanya suggested the formula of chanting the Holynames to get rid of selfishness and other vices from our heart. Only then, we can appreciate others for what they have.
What an amazing quote from Radhanath Swami Maharaj. It’s the mind who projects others as friends and enemies. In Shrimad Bhagavatam, we find an interesting story of Avanti Brahman who is dejected by his family members and ripped off from his possessions. That time he concludes that it’s the mind who is real enemy of a person if it’s not trained. If we see, Mayadevi attacks a person through his/her mind and if we have not trained the mind sufficiently, then it would go along with Mayadevi’s dictations ending in devastating everything.
This is how the demoniac mentality works. This means the mind needs to be purified.
