  1. Such a beautiful definition coming from some one who can really see things as they are

  2. Radhanath Swami’s words are full of wisdom and potent enough to purify us from this enemy called ‘pride’.

  3. Radhanath swami crushes our false pride and makes us humble through his powerful and sublime words.

  4. Amazing definition of pride.
It is so loosely used in the society and people who are proud considered great successful individual.
Actually we all know nothing belongs to us, so there is nothing to be proud of. Thank you Maharajah for reminding this.

  5. Radhanath Swamis quote is quite a stir up, if we examine this we realize, we may want to boast a lot as an advanced society, but there is nothing we can do against the lords will. Despite all developments what has science done to counter the 4 fold miseries of birth, old age, diseases and death all efforts just fall short.

  6. Pride has its foundation as False ego, and this is so dangerous for us spiritually…Hari Bol!

  7. Being proud is a style these days; however Radhanath Swami exposes what Pride means beneath the hood!

  8. Thank you Radhanath Swami Maharaj for this nice instruction of how not to be proud through dispelling the qualities of unrealistic, dishonest and ungrateful.

  9. This is nice statement about proud, Thank you Radhanath swami maharaj, for nice statement.

  10. Krsna says one who is proud is grossly foolish because he thinks himself to be the doer. But in actuallity he is dancing on the three strings of material nature which are under the full control of Krsna Himself (dishonest). Another symptom of pride “I deserve it” (unrealistic). How can then mercy penetrate our heart? When we are proud we expect prestige, honor, adoration, respect, attention which are all agains the principles of ‘Trnad api sunichena….’ (ungrateful). Then how can we chant continously the holynames. THerefore we have to fight against it, improve our sadhana to elimiate it and take shelter of the Lord and His devotees. We have to always remember that maya traps the puffed up..

  11. Very true.People giving in to their false ego cannot attain God-realization.Pride is most dangerous in spiritual progress. Thanks Maharaj for warning us against false pride.

  12. Very true. Proud people are unrealistically puffed up, dishonest about their abilities and ungrateful to others who also deserve credit.

  13. It’s a very very difficult enemy to over come and one of the 3 gates to hell (PRIDE, LUST, ANGER).

  14. All three terms are irreplaceable – unrealistic (we are not the doer anyway), dishonest (since we haven’t done, why claim credit), ungrateful (why not give credit to the doer?)

  15. The symptoms mentioned by Radhanath Swami for the disease of ‘PRIDE’ can easily be seen in an Arrogant person.
