Great point by Radhanath Swami Maharaj. Once a devotee asked Srila Prabhupad “What it takes to become a devotee” and he responded with “Sincerity”. This is the only qualification anyone to grow as a devotee.

Only by how much desire for service, at the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna and His unalloyed devotees, we have in our hearts, we can know how we are progressing in the path of devotion to Lord. There is no other way. May one day I can also do some service at the lotus feet of Radhanath Swami.
