An utter lack of reciprocation that is experienced in mundane relationships of
this world suddenly is converted into a sense of continuous anticipation and
euphoria when our desires to reciprocate with the Lord increases. As Radhanath
Swami beautifully puts it – though the Lord is the cause of the entire cosmic
manifestation, He can love you in such a special way that you feel the Lord
loves only you and no one else. Who wouldn’t want love a Lord like that?
Such inspiring wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami. This really inspires us to aspire to form all our relations on the foundation of spiritual ideals and not on the mundane and selfish basis. Spiritual relations are formed for a higher purpose of serving the Lord and that is why it is easy to give up our own comforts for the pleasure of Lord.
Unfortunately, relations being based on selfish motives seems to be the biggest reason for breakups these days. In such relations, people are only interested in their own enjoyment and don’t bother about the pains and difficulties of their partners.
Very true! Otherwise very difficult for relationships survive without the spiritual foundation as basis.
