  2. A very profound statement by Radhanath Swami Maharaj. People spend their whole life decorating their bodies and doing many other things just to be happy without knowing how to be happy. It’s just like someone driving a car at high speed without even thinking where he is driving it. By doing that, he can certainly get moments of happiness when he realizes that he has covered so many miles, however at the end he is going to be frustrated by realizing that he does not know the destination.

  3. This is a thunder bolt!!!! Very Very apt quote. When we talk to people in general while distributing Prabhupda’s books, we ask “do you have any distress?” and everybody says “YES”, “are you satisfied”, the answer comes “NO”. No matter how much material achievements we have, none can give us inner satisfaction.

    1. Very nice point! People don’t realize that even when they have everything material facility at their disposal, they are still not content and happy, but still they don’t think that probably they have to come out of their material thinking and take to spiritual practices.

  4. Such a to the point and alarming wisdom from HH Radhanath Swami. We see so many so called successful people who have big big achievements under their names, but as soon as there are trying incidents many of them seem to be lacking the inner strength and satisfaction. Only a true devotee of Lord can remain really equipoise on the strength of inner satisfaction attained by realizing the soul’s relationship with the super soul.

Since people don’t know real goal of human life, they never get satisfaction because whatever they do for attaining happiness is of no use unless they try to be happy at the level of Soul which we really are.   5. Very true! All our achievements are useless if we have not achieved satisfaction deep down in our hearts. This satisfaction can be achieved if our achievements are based on selflessness, humility, compassion and integrity dovetailed with the intention to please the Lord.

    1. True. We should work on getting inner satisfaction even if we have to do some menial work which pleases the Lord and His devotees.
