“We are all like fish that have separated from the sea of divine consciousness. For a person to be happy outside his or her natural relationship with God is like a fish trying to enjoy life outside of the water, on the dry sand. Holy people go to great extremes to help even one person to return his or her natural spiritual consciousness, to the sea of true joy. But the net of maya, or illusion, snatches away the minds of the masses, diverting us from the true self-interest.”
– Radhanath Swami in The Journey Home book.
Thank you HH Radhanath swami maharaj for such a nice quote about seperation of God is like a fish seperating of a fish from water.
Really Maharaj comparison is very true.We are trying to find happiness in this material world without Krishna.Krishna is the source of everything, even our birth. As we were not knowing the real fact who are we,from where we have come all these real facts, The saintly people Srila Prabhupada, and Radhanath swami have come to this world to give the helping handand take us to the original place where there no kuntha.we are very fortunate to have their preachingsand we have to utilise them.If not another birth go waste.
Maharaj’s quote is very true, for a fish the world outside the ocean or a sea is beautiful, but when it is out of the water it can not even breath, our condition has become like a fish, we came out of our original position as a servant and now we are outside the water of serving (not serving the lord). Our only hope to go back to our original position as a servant is by serving the Guru & Vaishnavas sincerely.
This is wonderful quote by Radhanath Swami. His analogies are always remarkable.
All of us conditioned in this world of maya are simply struggling without knowing the higher truths of life. Holy men like Radhanath Swami are sacrificing their life completely to help us raise to higher consciousness – helping us to get back to spiritual world
This is my comment
